Charter Refund Check

For some reason when I closed my Charter cable account they owed me thirty bucks. Don’t ask me why. I asked for the money, and they said they’d mail a check in 6-8 weeks. Here was my online chat with them:
Charter: I am sorry. We can only send the request to the local office.
Me: 6-8 weeks is ridiculous. What if I took 6-8 weeks to pay my cable bill each month?
Me: How bout you come drop it off for me?
Me: Santa Rosa is a really pretty town.
Charter: The local office will mail the check to your new address.
Apparently recognizing hilarity is not part of their training. Because that, Charter cable customer support person, was it.
